The Monographienreihe is a series of monographs, compiled and published by the German Institute for Japanese Studies. It is focused on three aspects of the Institute’s work. Certain collections are devoted to the results of the most relevant symposia organized by the Institute. Others present intermediate and final reports on all interdisciplinary research projects conducted by the Institute. Third, this series explores fundamental themes which offer a better understanding of Japan and can help to diminish the dominance of stereotyping. The Monographien appear in German or in English, depending on the language spoken at the respective symposium or on the language used by the majority of the contributors.
Within Japan, volumes can be ordered (in limited numbers) directly from the institute: email@example.com
