The DIJ has launched in 2002 a series titled Japan and Europe. Historical Relations and Comparative Studies 日欧交流史・比較研究. This scientific publication series is Japan-related and thus transdisciplinary as well as multidisciplinary. The spectrum includes the humanities, the social sciences, and the economics. It focusses on the German-Japanese and European-Japanese relations concerning political, economic, social and cultural affairs in past and present as well as on comparative problems.
